The idea of interdependence between people, even between life forms, you know, synergistic relationships... is really nothing new. God invented it. It's rather interesting to me that people want to declare not only independence from a simgle authority, (and mainly, God) but in it's place, interdependence upon one another.
This particular “Declaration of Interdependence” in ImagineNation is from a posting from onecommonunity.com, July 4, 2005 that is titled, A Magnanimous Declaration of the One Human Family. Consider it a quote from it, but there are many declarations of this kind and they are quite serious. Leslie Goldman, wrote and circulated a “Declaration of Interdependence” for the 1983 World Peace Celebration. Mother Earth News (Whole Earth Catalogue) published The Unanimous Declaration of Interdependence by Cliff Humphrey (and friends) in September 1969. Even historian Will Durant published and promoted his own similar version in the LA Times, March 23, 1943.
The move to acknowledge interdependence of life on this planet, invariably makes a statement about man sustaining himself on earth, making his own rules to live by, and circumvents the Christian concept of God. They promote instead a belief in a “form of godliness,” but they deny the God of the bible, even the commands of God and replace them with laws of their own.
The “Declaration of Interdependence" in this story is really intended to be a play on the Declaration of Independence which made an announcement to the world that the thirteen colonies established in North refused to be a part of the British Empire. In the original document, God is mentioned four times. It's interesting that the idea of making such a declaration about the interdependence of humanity, coupled with the rejection of the true and living God, particularly the God people believed in in 1776, is not mere fiction, as is this story, but reality in the world, in America in this day..
Pointing to Natural Law, the original Declaration of Independence notes that God is the maker of the laws of nature and in that God is nature’s God – He is declared a legislator.
It declared that God, is the creator, and that he has given unto mankind certain rights, It declares His ownership over us.
It declared that when a government is found to be evil, people have the right to establish a new government laying its foundation on better principles, than a tyrannical human ruler, but upon God, in Christ. God is also mentioned as the supreme judge of the world and as Divine Providence, (God) which makes him the government, the one who manages, makes decisions; an executive over them. It has been said for decades upon decades that "America is a Christian nation" This, this document and documents like it, is why.
The declarations are quite telling, for out of the mouth does come the overflow of the heart.
If America were to cease being one nation, under God, no longer depend upon him, but interdependent man without God, that is not a problem for God because such a kingdom will not stand, not for long. In the end men will die in their sins and be no more. It will be a sad, dark, nation, one without hope and without light. Even if America, was to stop being a Christian nation, God’s Holy Nation would still continue, for it is eternal, established forever on the precious cornerstone, by faith, and it’s an eternal Kingdom of righteous rule where people are free indeed, and have the hope and promise of life liberty and happiness, because Jesus Christ, Lord, Savior, Redeemer, Brother, Friend... is King.
