You have heard that all sinners are destined for hell and need a savior, but have you ever been told by someone that you better green up a little or you will end up in outer space? By New Age calculations, some people better pack their bags, a launch date is coming soon.
The “cleansing of the earth” (a sort of judgment day when those unfit to inhabit earth end up in outer space) is a common theme in New Age teachings. Writers like Barbara Marciniak, Lawrence Satorius, David Spangler, John Randolph Price, who all embrace New Age thinking, write about this earth cleansing frequently. These people believe and teach the readers of their work that anew day is coming for all of humanity and at that time “mother earth” will “vomit out” (or somehow be cleansed) of the undesirables on earth.
Kinder terminology, like how “mother earth will lovingly remove the unenlightened or unevolved individuals with respect for the Divine nature,” is sometimes used, and others insist this cleansing will come by "Ashtar" Forces who will send “rescue ships” (UFO’s) to either rescue lightworkers or transport unevolved earthlings “to locations with a vibration and frequency equal to their own," where they may grow and learn at a pace slower than the “new” (New Age) vibration of planet Earth that will soon arrive. This is the kinder version. No doubt history tells us of other ways people who have been given power to rule have chosen or can devise to 'cleanse" the earth of "undesirables."
To Christians, it all sounds vaguely familiar, sort of like a "New Age" explanation for the gullible of mind and heart. The New Age, no doubt needs some wonderful high minded explaination things to come, particularly when something unusual happens to Earth all and once because the Holy Spirit is no longer here, striving with man. God will let humanity have it's own king for a time. Meanwhile we Christians, trust that the Lord will remain true to his word, and we await the day that cannot be named... for unlike Ashtar, Spangler, or any other New age deception out there, God has told us the truth, and He has given us His promise, not only that, He who promised is faithful and able.
