Peek-a-boo

Peek-a-boo is a game for amusing a baby or small child. It is a game where a parent hides his eyes, or covers his face so the child thinks the parent is gone. As the child begins to wonder where the parent has disappeared to, the parent returns to view and says, “Peek-a-boo, I see you,” or something similar. It's an important game in the life of a child, one that helps them ot deal with the anxiety of parental separation in the future. Through something as simple as a game the child learns that the very thing he loves and knows, his mom or dad, will not leave him alone forever, and will one day return.
