“ Facing challenges, which they themselves often created, bacteria learned how to make their own food and how to combine talents with each other in collaborative ventures that enabled survival. Over billions of years the bacteria worked out the structures and processes upon which life depends today.” …is a quote from An Extraordinary Moment by the Foundation for Global Community. Remarkably, these people take the position that humans were not only produced by evolving over billions of years, but began at that time as bacteria. They also teach that humans are to model their lives, governments and understanding of the world we live in like the bacterium from which we were derived.
It’s the kind of thinking that gives a whole new meaning to “culture.”
What is interesting is that these, now, “highly evolved,” educated beings at the Foundation for Global Community, look to bacteria for wisdom of how to behave as humans. They believe that bacteria are the example for humanity to emulate. Unfortunately, they do neglect to note that there are bacteria that might be considered “good” and bacteria that might be considered bad., for to them it doesn't really matter... a bacterium is as a bacterium is.... bacteria are bacteria; and they believe looking to bacteria for wisdom regaurding the survival of the human race is the solution for humanity. Yes, they promote the concept that men with machines called computers and the power of thought should look to the example of bacteria... from whence we came in the first place, reason being that bacteria “combine talents with each other in collaborative ventures.”
In January 2007, the Foundation for Global Community liquidated all it’s assets to cash for the purpose of distributing them to other organizations. Now the organization discriminates as to who is gives funding to by requiring that individuals and groups meet the following criteria:
1. The project must be or must be sponsored by a 501-c-3 public benefit corporation;
2. It must have a clearly defined global purpose and mission;
3. It must have a strong educational component; and
4. It must have an Internet website to communicate locally and globally.
