Heaven, Hell, or Outer Space

You have heard that all sinners are destined for hell and need a savior, but have you ever been told by someone that you better green up a little or you will end up in outer space? By New Age calculations, some people better pack their bags, a launch date is coming soon.

The “cleansing of the earth” (a sort of judgment day when those unfit to inhabit earth end up in outer space) is a common theme in New Age teachings. Writers like Barbara Marciniak, Lawrence Satorius, David Spangler, John Randolph Price, who all embrace New Age thinking, write about this earth cleansing frequently. These people believe and teach the readers of their work that anew day is coming for all of humanity and at that time “mother earth” will “vomit out” (or somehow be cleansed) of the undesirables on earth.

Kinder terminology, like how “mother earth will lovingly remove the unenlightened or unevolved individuals with respect for the Divine nature,” is sometimes used, and others insist this cleansing will come by "Ashtar" Forces who will send “rescue ships” (UFO’s) to either rescue lightworkers or transport unevolved earthlings “to locations with a vibration and frequency equal to their own," where they may grow and learn at a pace slower than the “new” (New Age) vibration of planet Earth that will soon arrive. This is the kinder version. No doubt history tells us of other ways people who have been given power to rule have chosen or can devise to 'cleanse" the earth of "undesirables."

To Christians, it all sounds vaguely familiar, sort of like a "New Age" explanation for the gullible of mind and heart. The New Age, no doubt needs some wonderful high minded explaination things to come, particularly when something unusual happens to Earth all and once because the Holy Spirit is no longer here, striving with man. God will let humanity have it's own king for a time. Meanwhile we Christians, trust that the Lord will remain true to his word, and we await the day that cannot be named... for unlike Ashtar, Spangler, or any other New age deception out there, God has told us the truth, and He has given us His promise, not only that, He who promised is faithful and able.

Color Theory

Color theory, as it applies to the arts is a set of basic rules or understanding of how to mix colors in order to achieve a certain result, a harmonious combination of colors. This is done in relationship to how the colors work with the light that is their source. Sir Isaac Newton, an English Mathematician who lived in the 1600’s, is credited with the discovery of the color spectrum that is usually represented on a color theory wheel used in "color theory."

In color theory, there are two kinds of color, perceived color and spectral color. Each type uses three primary pigments.

In perceived colors the three primary pigments, are red, blue and yellow or RBY and it is these three colors from which all other colors can be mixed into secondary colors, (the colors in-between the primary one on the wheel.)

So red and yellow make orange,

yellow and blue make green,

and blue and red make purple!

Spectral color, which used in computers and television, has different primary colors. The three primary “light” colors are red, blue and green, or RGB, from which, with the light that is emitted all other colors can be mixed.

We

We”-- meaning everyone on earth together, which is probably related somehow to the notorious THEY that everyone refers too.

i.e.: “You know what THEY say…”

Smokey The Bear

Smokey, is a bear featured as the fire prevention mascot for the United States Department of Agriculture, (USDA.) Smokey Bear ads say, “Only YOU can prevent forest fires by being careful with matches and lit cigarette butts.” It was a great campaign, begun to help teach people to care for the land and to help prevent the loss of lumber at a time when the USA was at war. Albert Staehle invented the bear in 1944. Later in 1950, a fire-fighting crew rescued a male bear cub from a forest fire in the Capitan Mountains of New Mexico, named him Smokey and sent him to live in a Zoo in Washington DC as the “mascot” for the USDA.

The nationally run ads and the publicity of the bear, made people more aware of being careful with matches, but the truth of the matter was that many forest fires are not always preventable. Many forest fires are the result of a natural occurrence called lightening. You cannot stop lightening. There are some fires you can prevent and other are just going to happen with or without your assistance. There is only one way to put out a forest fire though, and this whatever it’s cause, water.

Just as water or rain puts out forest fires in the physical world, only the living water of Jesus stops the raging fires of hell that lurk, waiting to strike and destroy man’s soul. Water is important to life, we could not live with out, and we need pure clean water too. Dead stagnant water is no good.

Jesus said to the woman at the well, “If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.” (John 4:10 )

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will tell you, “There are children and adults who need to hear and learn about Smokey Bear and his forest fire prevention message and there are still people who need to be continually reminded of the need to prevent forest fires.
It’s a little like a discussion on the fires of hell, and the church will tell you the same thing about Jesus…

There are still people who need to hear and learn about Jesus Christ and his gospel of salvation by faith in him. Like forest fires, hellfire is a devastating reality too.

absolutely nothing

That’s right, absolutely nothing! While this is highly unusual, to have someone sit on TV and do nothing but stare at the viewers, it is not unheard of. Take for example, Bishop, Dr. “euGene” (deliberately spelled that way and not capitalized and sometimes called “Gene”) Scott who sometimes used the “silent” tactic to raise money from his television viewers.

Dr. Scott, ("doctor" as he earned his Ph.D. from Stanford University) died in February 2005, at the age of 75. He was a man of many talents, and he would happily do any of them on television for his viewers. He could smoke cigars, ride horses, fish, and even do creative linguistic or mathematical calculations on a whiteboard with multicolored markers. Sometimes he would play the saxophone or read books on demonology or UFO’s aloud, and then other times he would just sit silently and …(believe it or not)…do absolutely… yes, absolutely nothing. He would just sit there, staring into the camera… until you called in to the 1-800 number at “Festival of Faith” and made a financial pledge to his ministry.

Scott, a “minister/preacher” from LA’s University Cathedral, was known for his philanthropy, crudeness, rudeness, wealth, profanity (in the name of Jesus) and also for teaching about the resurrection. He was known to say, ”Nuke em’ in the name of Jesus,” when lecturing about the Gulf War.

You can still catch Scott in reruns or video doing some of his strange calculations in ancient languages on a whiteboard from time to time. He is limited to film though because the man is now deceased, however, his image lives on, in TV land. He calls his expository presentation, “Christianity for the 21st Century.”

His third, and much younger wife Melissa, a former model, now carries on the tradition and the legacy of her late husband. You can purchase Scott’s archived teachings or join Melissa via Internet or late night TV, following in her husbands footsteps.
